We began in 1992, when we were approached by the National Fantasy Fan Club for Disneyana Enthusiasts to form a local chapter of the club. Years later, the NFFC changed to The Disneyana Fan Club, but we have always been The Northern Illinois Chapter: Land of Mickey. Over the years we have experienced much together, all revolving around the magic of Disney and honoring “The Mouse.” We have:
“Shared the magic of Disney” by spreading a little pixie dust to those in need: Shelters, hospitals, back to school supplies, Ronald McDonald House, Peoples Resource, Give Kids the World, Cal Arts, and Walt Disney’s birthplace among others.
Hosted guest artists, speakers and other talented people involved with Disney.
Made crafts, played games and challenged each other with Disney trivia.
Viewed Disney movies, stage shows, and historic Disney films
Traveled to Disney conventions, historic Disney spots like Marceline, Missouri, Disneyland, and the Disney Family Museum.
Shared hours (and sometimes days) together at WDW, Disneyland, and Disney Cruises.
Celebrated birthdays and supported club members in need.
Shared holiday celebrations and summer picnics.
Viewed each others collections.
Shared stories of our many varied Disney experiences.
Most importantly, through our club, we have made life long friends who we continue to “share the Magic” with!
